Our Week with Tinsley-Day Six

Friday was our last official day with Tinsley. We decided that we would do fun things around the house that morning and then go bowling after Tinsley's nap. For our morning fun we pulled out Eli's sticky mosaics that I had stashed away for a rainy day. These were perfect for Tinsley to do because she is still learning her shapes and colors. It was great practice for her!

Of course, putting sticky foam shapes on your face it lots of fun, too!

Here is Tinsley's completed airplane. She was so proud that she was going to have something to give to her mommy when she went home.

Eli and Tinsley both did a great job on their sticky mosaic.

We ate lunch, Tinsley and Eli napped, and when they woke up it was time for bowling. I had two little kids who were very excited about going bowling.

They played two games and that was the perfect amount. They both had a blast and I'm so glad we were able to go.

That afternoon Grammy came to spend the night with us because Tinsley was going to go back home with her Saturday morning. Our week with this sweet girl had come to an end. We had such a wonderful time! I truly hope that we'll be able to get her for at least a week every summer. Eli and Tinsley play so well together and truly LOVE each other a lot. It's precious to watch them take care of each other. We're going to miss having her around on a daily basis. I can't wait to see her and have her over again! We love our sweet Tinsley and we're so glad she came to stay with us!

Our Week with Tinsley-Day Five

Thursday morning we drove down to the river front to play in the fountains by the river. Tinsley and Eli had such a wonderful time playing together. It was the perfect activity for such a hot summer day!

We came home and jumped in the pool for a few minutes. This sassy little thing was such a cutie patootie!

Barkley loved having Tinsley around and kept getting as close as he could to her.  He adores little kids!

We attempted a picture with all three kids and this was the best we got. These three had a blast playing in the water. After this picture, we ate lunch and Tinsley took her daily 3 hour nap. It was a great day!

Our Week with Tinsley-Day Four

We started our fourth day with Tinsley in the pool. Barkley was happy to join the kiddos for a little swimming. We swam for a little bit and then came inside to get dressed to go to the Farmer's Market for our weekly produce run.

When we got there someone had cages full of chicks, ducks, and rabbits. We're all suckers for cute, little, fluffy animals so we had to take turns holding them all.

We put the ducks and chicks back in their cages and then walked down a few booths to get some peaches. These are some of the best peaches EVER! On our way back to the car we had to hold the ducks, chicks, and rabbits one more time before leaving. (Don't worry... we used Germ-X in the car and washed our hands really, really well as soon as we got home!)

We ate a quick bite for lunch and then Tinsley went down for her three hour nap. I was amazed every single day that she was able to nap that long. Eli rarely ever did that! After she woke up from her marathon nap, we played a little Candyland. Tinsley loved playing!

We didn't do very much this day but it was very nice relaxing at home. We still had a lot more fun planned for the rest of our week, too!
