Eli opened Uncle David and Aunt Stephanie's gift first. They gave him a big bag of blocks and a dump truck to put them in. Eli started constructing his first tower. Pop did help a little, but I think we might have a future architect on our hands.
Grandma Nelda (Eli's great-grandma) came down to the house and we exchanged gifts with her. Eli enjoyed pulling the paper out of the bag and was really happy to find his first gift card to Wal-Mart and some fun bath toys that squirt water.
After Grandma left to go to work, the rest of us exchanged gifts with each other. I want to mention before you start to scroll through the pictures that Josh was in a particularly funny mood this night and posed for lots of goofy pictures. He's so crazy, but that's one of the reasons I love him!
Eli decided to take a break and love on Baby the cat. He loves all the animals at Grammy and Pop's house. It's like his very own petting zoo!
LSU seemed to be the theme for all of Josh's gifts this year. He was excited to support his favorite college team.
Eli's big gift of the night was a rock and bounce pony. This is the second year in a row that Eli has gotten a pony for Christmas. I'm thinking they're eventually going to have to get the real thing!
Like all kids, Eli fell in love with the box the pony came in and played in it before checking the pony.
Mom found my brothers' old red cowboy boots and we wanted to see if Eli could wear them yet. They're still a little big, but he loved walking around in them. What a cute little cowboy!
What a wonderful wonderful Christmas! We had so much fun with Grammy, Pop, Uncle Caleb, Grandma, and all the animals. We hate that Uncle Josh, Aunt Andrea, Uncle David, and Aunt Stephanie couldn't be there, but we know we'll see them soon. What a great way to end a very wonderful Christmas season for us.
I like those new coasters! If you need somewhere to store all your new "W" stuff, I can turn it upside down and use it all as "M" stuff!! :)
