Last Sunday, Eli and I helped celebrate Molly's second birthday. Molly is Eli's little friend that he stays with now while Josh and I work. Molly lives just a few houses down from us in our neighborhood so it has worked out perfectly! She and Eli are exactly 10 months apart and they get along so well! She can't say his name just right yet, so when she calls him, it sounds like "Allah." It's so cute! Eli and Molly have the best time playing together all day long, so we were so excited to get to go to her party.
We got there a little late (Eli was napping and I wasn't about to interrupt that!) and when we got there Molly was just starting to open her presents. It was fun to see all the cute girly presents she got.
Eli found a pair of pretty shoes by the bouncy house and attempted to put them on. Again with the shoe fetish... I redirected him after noticing exactly which shoes (the girly pink, shiny ones) he was attempting to try on.
One of the birthday presents Molly got was a pink scooter. All the kids loved this gift!
Eli found a ball and decided to shoot some hoops for a little bit. A little birdie told us that Grandpa E is getting him one of these-Little Tikes b-ball goal- for him, so I was excited to see that Eli enjoyed playing with it.
I was super impressed with Dara's cake decorating skills. She and her Momma did a fabulous job making the cake look exactly like Molly's invitation. It was so cute and so good!
These chocolate chip cookie cupcakes were the one thing Eli spotted that he wanted to eat. He kept pointing to them and signing "more" for them.
We sang Happy Birthday to Molly and then everyone dug into their cake.
Eli got to sit at the kid table with all the other kiddos at the party. I thought it was so cute to see him sitting there like a big boy.
After he snacked a little bit, it was time to play again. Eli "borrowed" Molly's scooter for a little bit.
Then he and the other kids went into the bouncy house. Eli had lots of fun in there. I was a little worried that he might get pushed down or it might be too much activity for him, but he held his own and loved every minute of his time in there!
Check out that hair!
All too soon, the party was over. Eli said goodbye to Mrs. Dara before we left. Dara is so good to Eli. She loves him like one of her own. I am so THANKFUL to have her love and take care of my little boy for me. She and her family are such a blessing to us!
After saying goodbye to Mrs. Dara, he went to see his buddy, Molly. How sweet is this?! Melt my heart! They are so sweet to each other. I love it! Thanks for a great birthday party, Molly! We loved it!
He is so cute! And he is becoming such a big boy so quickly! I'm happy to see that he's signing, too!
