Tumbling Down

The Sunday before Josh and I left on our trip to New York, we went to his grandmother's house for lunch. The weather was BEAUTIFUL, so eventually, we all made our way outside to enjoy it. Josh, Eli, and Peyton had lots of fun playing football together. Well, I guess I need to correct that statement, Peyton and Josh had fun playing football. Eli enjoyed sitting in the grass, pulling up the dead grass, and watching it blow away in the wind. I joked with Josh and said we were watching a preview of what t-ball was going to be like in just a few years. LOL! If you know my husband at all, he did not find that funny at all! Hopefully, our son won't be the one sitting down in the outfield because he's just "too tired"! If he is though, it'll definitely make for some cute pictures :)

After the boys got tired of throwing the football, Eli and Peyton made their way over to Papaw's huge pile of pine straw that he had in the backyard. Eli had so much fun crawling up the pile of pine straw, sliding down, and then doing it all over again. It's amazing to me that you can spend all your money on the latest toys and gadgets, but when it comes down to it, all your kid really wants is something simple...like a huge pile of pine straw! Hmmm, this knowledge might help with Christmas next year :)
