People, People, Everywhere

After seeing WICKED, we still had some daylight to burn, so we decided to make the most of it and see some more sites in NYC. I wanted to go to Grand Central Terminal and it wasn't that far, but it took us longer to get there than we expected because of the St. Patrick's Day parade that was STILL going on! We did get to see and hear several bagpipe players so that made the waiting a little easier.

The outside of Grand Central Terminal was beautiful. It was built in 1913 and they restored it in the 90's, but it still holds so much character in it's architecture.

Inside Grand Central Terminal was amazing! Look at the people! This picture doesn't really do it justice because you can't see all the people to the left and right and the ones behind us. There were TONS OF PEOPLE rushing back and forth trying to catch their trains home. Josh and I stayed there a few minutes and just watched as these people carried on with such a normal part of their daily lives. Can you even begin to imagine doing this every day??

After a light supper, Josh and I bought two coffees from Starbucks and went and sat in the middle of Times Square and people watched some more. It had been such a long day, but we were having so much fun! The next day was our last in NYC and we had a very full schedule!
