A Boy, His Dog, and a Pile of Dirt

Since we moved in back in October we haven't done a single thing to our yard. We knew we didn't want to plant anything since winter was on it's way (but who knew it would be such a mild winter?). Now that spring is on it's way, we're starting to get the outside of our house looking nice. The first thing we needed to do was level our ground in the front yard and the backyard. Josh had a buddy bring in 5 truckloads of dirt a couple of Saturdays ago. You would have thought it was Christmas morning at the Wilson household! Eli LOVED playing in the dirt! He climbed to the top too many times for me to count!

Eli decided that the dirt piles were definitely something that needed to be shared, so he dragged (literally) Maggie up to the top so she could play in the dirt with him. Maggie is so good and gentle and will do whatever Eli wants her to do. I'm glad she went along with it because I was able to get some good pictures of the two of them while they were up there!

Eli went inside to take a nap for a couple of hours, but when he woke up it was time to play in the dirt again! The weather had turned a little bit cooler, so after layering him in some clothes, he was ready to go!

We decided to have a hotdog and marshmallow roast, so Josh built an impromptu firepit for us. It definitely worked, and we had a fabulous roast with some of our family and friends that night.

Life is all about creating moments and memories. I'm so thankful that I get to create moments and memories with these two :) I'm so blessed!
