Swimming with Friends

We are thoroughly enjoying our pool this summer. Other than the week Eli had swimming ear and the week it rained every day, we have been in it every day since it was completed. It has been so wonderful to have this summer, not only for us, but for our friends, too! We love having people over to swim and have fun with us. A couple of weeks ago, my friend, Sarah, brought her kiddos over to swim with Eli. Our boys take swimming lessons together, so they love swimming with each other. It was a fun day for everyone...well, until Eli got stung by a wasp :(  He didn't have a major reaction to it, so other than the hurt of the sting, he was okay. He still got to have lots of fun with his friends before that happened though!

Little Ms. Avery was snoozing when they arrived and didn't wake up until it was time to go.
She'll have to come back for another swim later!

The next day Jessie, Grant, and Will, who'd gotten in town the day before, came over to swim with us, too. Grant LOVED the water. He had a huge grin on his face the entire time he was in the pool!

Eli loved having another friend to swim with him! Plus, he got to show Jessie, Will and Grant everything he learned in swimming lessons. Grant especially loved it when Eli jumped off the diving board! It won't be long before Grant is swimming like a fish!

Sweet boys!

Will attempted to show Grant how to jump off the diving board, but he pretty much just fell straight in. It won't be long though before he can do it on his own! Oh, and please take a look at my sweet hubby in the background staining our fence. It was a spur of the moment project, but I'm SO GLAD he did it! We still have part of the fence to stain, but the part that is finished looks WONDERFUL! Josh and our friend, Sparky, worked so hard to make it look great. I told Josh that the best part about doing any kind of yard work now is knowing that you can jump in the pool when you're finished. It definitely makes suffering through the heat worth it! It's just another reason I'm so thankful to have a pool!
