The Zoo and a Trip to See Josh and Andrea

One weekend towards the end of summer, Eli and I went to see my brother and sister-in-law's new house.  Around the time that our little family was moving into our new house, Josh and Andrea were starting to build their house. They found out they were expecting Tinsley in December. They moved into their house in March and Tinsley arrives in August. They've had a busy year! I was excited to see how beautiful their house was! Before we went to their house though, Eli and I made a little pit stop at the zoo! We tried to go early enough that it wasn't that hot, but when it's summer in the south, it's hot from the moment you wake up until the moment you go to sleep. We still had lots of fun and got to see a lot of animals.

All ready for the zoo!

Eli's "tiger face" HAHA!

We both loved the baby zebra!

This rhino found the perfect way to lay on such a hot day...

Eli loved checking the map to make sure we were on the right path.

Trying to cool off before going on the train ride.

After the zoo, we ran a couple of errands in town and then headed to Josh and Andrea's house. Their house is in a new subdivision so my GPS didn't know how to get there. After several calls to my brother and a few sightseeing trips around the neighborhood, we made it! I loved their new house!

I think their front door is my favorite part of their house...I love all the iron scrollwork.

Eli and Josh really bonded over the weekend. He and Eli played with his cars, watched the Disney channel, played on his phone, grilled for us, and played with the puppies. We told Josh to consider this training for when Tinsley gets here :)

Eli and Josh grilled burgers for us for dinner.

Eli LOVED the burgers and gobbled up a hamburger patty.
He was really excited about getting cookies for dessert!

Before we left to come back home the next day, I took some pictures of Tinsley's room. It was hard for me to believe that she would be arriving so soon! Andrea went with a color theme of pink, gray, black, and white in her room. It's precious!

This little girl will NEVER want for clothes or shoes :)

Andrea painted and decorated Tinsley's letters above her crib.

We had a great weekend with my brother and sister in law. It wasn't going to be long before their little family of two became a family of three! Their house is beautiful and Eli and I can't wait to go see them again!
