Gingy's Gingerbread House

After all the kiddos made their new friends at Build-a-Bear workshop, we headed back to the Gaylord Texan for one more fun adventure before heading back to the hotel for the night. We literally packed as much fun into one day as we possibly could! When we were at the Gaylord Texan for ICE, we passed a shop decorated like a gingerbread house. We saw that all the gingerbread decorating kits were 75% off and that sold us even more! We DEFINITELY picked the right time to visit ICE :) We found out that the kids could pick out their own decorating kit of gingerbread cookies and they could also meet Gingy from Shrek. They were so excited! We all bought our kits and then it was time for our photo-op with Gingy.

We waited for Sarah and her kids to take their pictures with Gingy and then we all settled down at some of the tables overlooking the water fountains in the atrium of the hotel.

Eli and I bought the Gingerbread family kit. We had a daddy and mommy, two kids, a cat, and a dog in our kit. I definitely found out Eli is my child doing this activity. He's so particular and had to make his gingerbread man look identical to Gingy. We're both very "by the book" people. He kept getting up to sneak a peek at Gingy to make sure he was decorating his gingerbread man the right way.

Sarah's crew had lots of fun too! They were the free spirits when it came to decorating.

We were the perfectionists of the group. Yin and Yang, I tell you. It's what makes some friendships work :)

We left the Gaylord Texan for the final time that day and went back to the hotel to relax for a few.

While the boys watched Curious George, Avery decided to play dress up with all of my jewelry. She's such a sassy little thing :) I'm so glad I get the privilege of being her godmother :)

After one episode of Curious George, we changed the kids into their swimsuits and took them to the hotel pool for a little swim. They had a blast! We had decided that for our last night we were going to just do swimming and pizza. It was the perfect way to unwind from our crazy busy day!

We came back to the room, bathed all the kiddos, and changed them into their jammies. We ate some yummy pizza and then it was time for bed. What a fun time it had been! We can't wait until next year when we get to do it again!
