The weekend after Eli's spring break, we found ourselves back at my mom and dad's house. This time it was to go to Sesame Street Live with them and my brother and his family. Eli never really was into Sesame Street when he was little, so I was surprised he knew who all the characters were. We were Mickey Mouse Clubhouse people :) Tinsley watches it though and loves Elmo. She was very happy to be going to see Elmo.
We got there early and found our seats. Then Pop took the grandkids to the Sesame Street store to buy a souvenir. They each picked the spinning light toy. Those are always a huge hit with the kids.
All the characters came out and the show started. Eli and Tinsley both seemed to really enjoy it.
At one point, Tinsley and Eli both ended up in Pop's lap. They wanted to sit with him during most of the show and watch. Pop's definitely loved :)
We tried, unsuccessfully, I might add, to get a picture of Eli and Tinsley in front of the Sesame Street sign. That didn't work out too well.
We said good-bye to everyone and then we loaded up to go back home. It had been a quick, getaway trip, but a very fun one! Eli didn't waste any time catching up on his sleep on the way home :)
