Summer Fun-Beach Vacation Day 2

Our first day at the beach dawned bright and clear. This year we didn't have a single rainy day our entire stay at the beach. The weather was simply perfect. We woke up, enjoyed our breakfast and coffee on our balcony, and then got ready for the beach. I packed our ice chest full of snacks and drinks so we wouldn't have to go back to the condo until after lunch. I wanted us to enjoy a full day on the beach. The only thing Eli wanted to do when he got to the beach was ride waves, so he and Josh took off to the ocean right away. The water was kind of rough so they stayed closer to the shore and caught the waves there. He still had such a blast riding the waves all the way in to the beach.

After riding the waves, he ditched the boogie board and he and Josh jumped some waves. Josh said it's definitely getting tougher to lift him up as he gets older each year.

After a little snack break, it was time for more boogie boarding. He loves it!

We ate lunch on the beach, played in the water some more, rested, relaxed, and watched Eli play in the sand. It was a great first day on the beach.

Before going in for the day, we jumped in the pool at the condo. The water felt so good!

We went all went back to the condo to take showers and clean up before going out for dinner that night. When we're at the beach, we try to eat really early to beat all the crowds. We went to Cosmo's for dinner and I'm pretty sure we were there by 5:00. There was a nice breeze blowing so we chose to sit on the patio and listen to the live band.

There were a couple of shops located on the patio of Cosmo's so Eli and I went into one after we ate to look around. We found a Jelly Belly game called Bean Boozled where you take turns eating jelly beans that are either good flavors or really nasty flavors. You spin the spinner and whatever color it lands on you have to eat that jelly bean. The kicker is that the nasty ones look the same as the good ones. For example, you might spin the spinner and it land on what could be peach or barf. Yeah, it was rough! I knew I wouldn't be able to play very many rounds of this game and hold down my dinner so I promised Eli I'd play three rounds this night. After two rounds of barf and a round of baby wipes, I was D-O-N-E. I told Eli to save the rest to play with Josh :) We got ready for bed, brushed our teeth really good, and went to bed. More beach fun was on the way tomorrow!
