When everyone arrived with their favorite thing, I made them a little place card and they set their five favorite things on Angela's dining room table. It was fun seeing everyone's favorite things displayed on the table and getting to ooooh and aaaah before the drawing began.
Since there were so many of us, we had each girl bring five of their favorite thing to our party. Once everyone got there, we all wrote our names on a slip of paper five times and put it into a bowl. Then we all drew numbered slips of paper to determine who would get to share their favorite thing first, second, third, and so on. When it was your turn, you described your favorite thing to the group, why it was your favorite, and then you drew five names out of the bowl. Those five girls would be the one to receive your favorite thing. It was so fun hearing about everyone's favorite thing and then waiting expectantly to see if your name would get drawn.
We had one tiny snafu at the end but we were able to work it out and everyone left happy with five favorite things. I scored some OPI nail polish, strawberry lip balm (that I ended up losing and now I'm bummed about it because it was great), some milk and honey hair mousse that smelled AMAZING, an energy drink, and some Bath and Body Works lemon soap. I was a very happy girl!
I love this group of girls so much and I love that we get to do this with each other now every year. I can't wait until this year's Favorite Things party! They keep getting better and better!
