Our Week with Tinsley-Day Five

Thursday morning we drove down to the river front to play in the fountains by the river. Tinsley and Eli had such a wonderful time playing together. It was the perfect activity for such a hot summer day!

We came home and jumped in the pool for a few minutes. This sassy little thing was such a cutie patootie! 

Barkley loved having Tinsley around and kept getting as close as he could to her.  He adores little kids!

We attempted a picture with all three kids and this was the best we got. These three had a blast playing in the water. After this picture, we ate lunch and Tinsley took her daily 3 hour nap. It was a great day!

Playing in the Fountains with Grant

Grant and Jessie came to town a couple of days one week and while they were here we had a couple play dates with them. Eli LOVES just being able to play with kids close to his own age so he and Grant had a great time together. We had one day where the boys stayed at our house and played there. The next day we made plans to meet Grant and Jessie at the water fountains at the river front before they left to go back home. This was our first trip to the water fountains this summer so it was fun to share that experience with a friend.

Eli jumped up on the flag stand and then next thing I heard was "Take a picture, Mommy!" I looked behind me and saw this. Sometimes he hates pictures and sometimes he loves them...you just never know!

These two boys had such a fun time together!

It looks like Eli is really reading this but he was making it up as he pointed. 

It was a really great story though so props on his imagination :)

Eli's picture taking skills are getting better. 

After about an hour of playing in the water, we changed the boys into dry clothes and then drove to the new yogurt place in town. YUM-O! It was such a fun afternoon! I'm glad we had the chance to see Grant and Jessie and spend time with them!

Playing in the Fountains

One of our favorite things to do in the summer is go down to the riverfront area and play in the fountains. One bright, summer morning that's exactly what Eli and I did. Eli had such a fun time playing and splashing in the fountains. Afterwards, we found a covered swing and watched the boats go up and down the river. These are the kinds of days I'm going to miss when school starts back all too soon! 

Fountains at the Riverfront

The perfect way to beat the heat when you live anywhere in the south during the summer is to find water of any kind. A couple of weeks ago, Eli and I did just that. We went down to the riverfront area and played in the fountains there. Since Eli loves the water and actually doesn't mind it getting in his face, he had a BLAST! We were the only ones there for a long time so Eli had fun running back and forth through the fountains. 

Oh, how I love this kid!

When Eli got tired of playing in the fountains, we walked around and found a swing to share...and a Diet A&W Root Beer, too :) I enjoyed my date with my little man and loved spending time with him. It is one of my most favorite things to do!
