Disney World-Day Three (Epcot)

After our busy morning at Hollywood Studios, we left after lunch and came back to the resort to recharge our batteries. Our resort had a really nice pool area and we wanted to enjoy that for a couple of hours to make the most of our Disney experience. Eli had spotted the huge pirate ship in the pool the first night we arrived at the resort and had wanted to play in it ever since. This afternoon he got his chance! I had to finalize some reservation plans on the phone so Josh and Eli headed there ahead of me. When I got there, they were having a blast. The big pool had two big slides that the kids could go down and Eli had been down them about 10 times already. He loved it! We went to the pirate ship and Eli loved getting to play on it. It had slides, ropes, water guns, and a huge barrel that dumped over when it was full of water causing a tidal wave effect.

After a couple of hours, it was time to get dressed because we had reservations at the steak restaurant in the Canada section of Epcot called Le Cellier. I think Josh was definitely the most excited about this meal. He had heard from several buddies that this was the best steak they had ever eaten.

We got to Epcot and Josh obliged me so I could take the customary photos in front of the Epcot geosphere. The first thing I noticed about Epcot was just how beautiful it was. The International Flower Festival was going on and Epcot was decked out in amazing flower creations. I probably could have spent a day at Epcot just taking photos of all the landscaping, but once again we just didn't have the time.

GORGEOUS!

I loved the floating flowers. They were so pretty.

We didn't really get to walk around lazily taking everything in because our reservations were at 6:00 and we didn't want to miss them. We hurried to Canada to Le Cellier. I think Josh's mouth was already watering at this point. Ha!

Le Cellier was surrounded by some beautiful landscaping as well. It was so serene.

We ate our food and Josh's buddies were right. Those steaks were the absolute best things we'd ever tasted. Josh was so happy. Eli was so tired and laid down in the restaurant. He didn't go to sleep but you could tell Disney was starting to catch up to him. We finished our meal and decided to walk around and find a couple rides that Eli could do before watching the Illuminations firework show.

We found The Seas with Nemo and Friends and did that ride first. It was very similar to the Little Mermaid ride. We boarded our "clam-mobile" and we got to journey into the coral reef and see Nemo and all his friends.

After that ride, we did Turtle Talk with Crush. It was so funny! Crush came out and the kids were able to ask him questions about sea life. It was cute, interactive, and very funny. We all enjoyed it...DUUUUDE!

It was starting to get a little late and we were making our way back to the lake area to watch the fireworks. I just happened to notice some people going in and out of a door so I went to see what they were doing. It was a character meet up! Mickey and Minnie were both there greeting fans. They were about to close but the cast member let Eli and I get in Minnie's line since he didn't have an autograph from her.

We said good-bye to Minnie and then went to watch the Illuminations firework show. It was pretty cool, but our family enjoyed the Magic Kingdom show better. We left Epcot and headed back to our resort. It'd been a very busy day and we couldn't wait to go to sleep! Tomorrow was our very last day at Disney and we wanted it to be full of fun!
