A Boy and His Dog

While we were in NYC, Eli and Maggie did some serious bonding with each other. Eli has always been very intrigued with Maggie, but he never wanted to touch her or pet her really. He's definitely gotten over that fear. He loves to pet her, hug her, pat her, feed her (his first little job!), and give her treats. It's so sweet to watch how they interact with each other. Maggie is actually quite protective of him, too. Whenever a stranger walks by our house and we're outside, Maggie starts barking (this is rare because she NEVER EVER barks) at them to let them know that Eli is her boy and she's watching out for him!

Eli's favorite thing to do now when we get home from Mrs. Dara's is to let Maggie out of the backyard into the front yard and go outside and play with her. Oh, and we have to have a "pop-pop" (popsicle). Eli is convinced that if you're outside, you're supposed to be eating a popsicle. We didn't have any left the other day (BIG MISTAKE!), so we had to walk to the store to get him his "pop-pop." They're sugar free so I don't feel bad about giving them to him. Plus, it's about to be summer and nothing is better during the summer than a popsicle!
