On our third day at Disney we woke up bright and early because we had a special place we had to be. Eli was going to get to eat breakfast with Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He couldn't wait!
Eli loved using my camera to take pictures. Maybe he'll love photography like I do one day. He took this one of Josh and made me promise not to delete it. Ha!
We headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios and went to the restaurant Hollywood and Vine for our breakfast.
We sat down and started looking for characters.
Eli snacked on a chocolate chip chocolate muffin while we waited for Jake to make it to our table.
The characters made their way around to all the tables in the restaurant but about every 15 minutes they'd break out into a song and dance routine. They encouraged all the kids to get up and join them at the front. Eli got up but as you can see wasn't really into the whole dancing thing. His face cracked me up!
Then the characters started making their way around to the tables.
Handy Manny
Special Agent Oso
Then Eli's favorite character stopped by to see him...Jake! As you can see, he was really excited about seeing Jake!
We finished our breakfast, said good-bye to all the characters from Disney Junior and ventured out into Hollywood Studios. First up was a picture in front of Mickey's sorcerer's hat.
We headed to the Pixar Studios area because we wanted to ride the Toy Story Midway Mania ride.
Eli got to meet a Green Army Man from Toy Story.
We tried to ride the Toy Story ride but the wait time was about 55 minutes and the next FastPass return time was around 1:00. We knew we didn't want to stay that long, so we bypassed the ride to see if we could find something else to do and hopefully the line would go down.
We really didn't have a "plan" per say and just kind of wandered around looking at everything. We accidentally stumbled onto a character meet up with Mike and Sulley from Monsters, Inc. and timed it just perfectly that we were able to go right in and see them.
Monsters don't sign autographs so we just took some pictures with them. We can't wait until their next movie comes out this summer! Eli has even been saying that he wants to have a monster themed 5th birthday party. I can never get him to commit to a theme this early, so I'm not holding my breath, but we'll see.
We continued making our way around the streets of Hollywood Studios and found two of the main characters from one of Eli's favorite movies of all time...CARS!
Our whole family had to get a picture with Lightning McQueen and Mater. I think we have every single collectible car from this movie. Eli is obsessed with them!
We made our way to the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular Show and passed by this flying thing from Star Wars. We have not introduced Eli to "the force" yet, but I know it'll happen soon. (I'll brush up on my Star Wars vocabulary when that happens.) He saw this and wanted me to a take a picture of him riding on it.
The Indiana Jones show was cool. Eli didn't enjoy it as much as Josh and I did, but still had fun.
We went back to the Toy Story Mania game and saw that the standby wait time was only 30 minutes. We knew it was now or never so we went in. Mr. Potato Head entertained us while we waited and soon we were in Andy's room boarding the ride. Eli and Josh had so much fun shooting at targets with their toy cannons. It was lots of fun!
We knew we wanted to go back to the resort before heading to Epcot that night, so we didn't do everything there was to do at Hollywood Studios. We just didn't have time and the wait times were longer than what we expected. We ate a quick lunch at Pizza Planet and then headed back to the resort for some time at the pool. Eli had been looking forward to swimming at the resort pool for several days now and was so excited about getting to play in the big pirate ship and on the slides. If we ever go back to Disney again, we'll have to come back here so we can do everything that we didn't get to do. Even though we didn't get to everything, we still had a great morning at Hollywood Studios!

That looks like so much fun, we went on our honeymoon...but it would be a blast with kids.
