Our Zoo Day with Cheryl and Brody

A couple of weeks ago, my friend, Cheryl, and her son, Brody, met Eli and me at the zoo in Alexandria for a play date. We had so much fun watching our two boys interact and have fun together as they looked at all the animals. The weather was perfect and the zoo was just the right size for two almost two year olds to run around and have lots of fun. This was only the second time that Eli and Brody had met each other and I'm pretty sure they didn't remember their first meeting! You can read about that here. Even though they didn't remember each other our two boys really hit it off like they were best friends. It was so sweet to watch them copy each others' words and actions all day long. Cheryl, I'm so glad we got to spend a day with you guys and I can't wait until we do it again!

Eli tamed this tiger while we waited for Brody and Cheryl to arrive.

Meeting again for the second time! Look at how BIG they both look!

Feeding the fish...definitely a great time every time!

Handing the conductor our tickets for the train ride

Choo-choo! All aboard!

Brody was a little hesitant about the train at first, but eventually enjoyed it.

Eli stopped to get a drink...

So Brody decided to as well

Snack time for both boys

After we had seen all the animals at the zoo, we went to the playground area and let the boys play for a few minutes before we left. They had the best time climbing, running, and sliding. They thought they were such big boys doing all the stuff they did!

I love this picture! Whee!

Isn't that the cutest little smirk ever?

Racing each other down the slide

Getting a littler braver and trying a tummy slide.
(He made it halfway down and switched back to his booty though!)

Cheryl and I with our two hot and sweaty little boys.
It was such a fun day!
